iPhone Spy Apps For Anyone On A Budget
I often get emails from my readers asking me if I know of an iPhone spy app that doesn't cost a lot of money.
High end iPhone spy apps such as SPYERA GOLD, have unbelievable spy phone features, but the problem is that most people don't have $425 bucks to drop on an iPhone spy app. So what else is out there? What iPhone spy apps can someone purchase if they only have a few bucks to spend?
Here are a few options. All the iPhone spy apps listed below range anywhere from FREE to $50 bucks. Keep in mind that not all these apps are advertised as an iPhone spy app. I've just listed the apps which I feel can be used in such a way.

WHAT DOES IT DO? 'Find My iPhone' is part of Apple's MobileMe service used to locate a lost or stolen iPhone. However, it's also a great tool for anyone who wants to secretly track an iPhone. Once you set it up on your partner's iPhone, you can instantly get updates on their location via your online MobileMe account. You'll also get to see the contacts they have stored on their phone, so you know who they are calling.
You do need to purchase a MobileMe account (you can sign up for a 60 day free trial, so you can get started without paying a dime), and then set it up on the iPhone you want to track, but once you do its a pretty cool way to track someone. One thing to point out is that the 'Find My iPhone' and Mobile Spy app require you to physically install the iPhone spy app on the iPhone you want to spy on. The other apps are installations that are done on your own iPhone. There is NO way to install either Find My iPhone or Mobile Spy without physical access to the target phone. Can You Remote Install iPhone Spyware? | iPhone Spyware Q & A
A common question asked by readers, is if it's possible to install iPhone spyware without physical access to their target's iPhone. Unfortunately, the answer is a big NO. None of the spy phone vendors that currently sell iPhone spyware, have remote installation features, and I'm guessing it will be a very long time before they do.
Although technically possible, in my opinion it's a bit risky to create spy software that enables someone to remotely intall it. The possibilities for abuse would far exceed the benefit a company would get marketing such a product online.
So what should you do if you cannot get physical access to the target's iPhone? Definitely don't waste your money on iPhone spyware. I repeat, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I know there are few sites out there claiming that you can remotely install spy phone software on any type of phone. However, the sad truth is that most of these are scams and the others just don't know what they are talking about. Spy phone software sold by companies such as Mobile Spy & Spyera require the iPhone spy app to be installed directly on the phone via a direct download using the iPhone's browser. Without physical access to the iPhone, not only will you not be able to download the spy app, but you wont even be able to configure it even if you did manage a way to convince your target to download the app for you.
Bottom line, there is absolutely no way to install iPhone spyware without having physical access to the iPhone. (This also means being able to get past the PIN code if the iPhone is locked.)
So what options do you have if you really want to spy on an iPhone, but just can't get your hands on it? Here are a few ideas.
1) Games & Cool Apps. Find a way to get access to the iPhone you want to spy on long enough to install iPhone spyware directly on the phone. Tell your target that there is a new game or cool new app that you want to download. While you are doing this, you can even though in an excuse that you need to use bathroom while it's downloading to give yourself some private time.
2) Happy Birthday!! You can buy them a new iPHone. I know this sounds a bit overboard, but if you're concerned that your spouse might be cheating on you, or your teen might be engaging in prohibited activities, investing in the latest iPhone might be worth it if this is the only way for you to get iPhone spyware on their iPhone. Buying a new iPhone would be a perfect way for you to take all the time you need to install iPhone spyware, configure it, test it, etc. and then give to your spouse or teen as a gift.
3) Think Outside The Box. Look for alternate ways to monitor them. For example, what two technology items are most used today? I'd say cell phones and computers. If you can't get access to one, go for the other one. Any google search for "PC Spy Software" will turn up at least 40-50 different PC Spy vendors. My personal favorite is Sniper Spy, because it has a cool live monitoring feature and by the way, IT DOES have a remote installation feature. PC spyware retails usually anywhere from $50 - $150 bucks. I've tested out Spectorsoft, WebWatcher, & Sniper Spy, and a few low cost ones I found on the net. Sniper Spy definitely comes out on top because of the live monitoring feature, which the other companies don't have. My 2nd choice would be Spectorsoft, which doesn't advertise remote installation, but does offer it as an upgrade upon check out.
Other options include Google's Latitude application which allows you to track the movements of a person using Google Maps. However, they will have to 'opt in' to being tracked, so if you want to do this secretly, there is always GPS devices you can place on (or in) their car. You can also find out who they call most often via looking at their iPhone call history (if you have access to them), and then do a reverse phone look up using many of the reverse phone look up services, such as Cell Phone Snoop. If you cant get access to the call history, and you are using a shared account, most likely you'll be able to sign up for online account access. Once you have online account access, you'll be able to view the numbers of all calls (and text messages) placed and received.
Now you know, that no matter what you read online, there is no way to remotely install iPhone spyware, but at least there are other ways to get the information you want if you absolutely can't get access to their iPhone.
